X5 Retail Group says plans to launch about 2,500 stores in 2018

MOSCOW, Mar 29 (PRIME) -- Russian retailer X5 Retail Group plans to launch about 2,500 stores in 2018, CEO Igor Shekhterman said in a conference call on Thursday.

“We think that it would be reasonable to estimate the amount of launches of all types of stores at the level of 2,500 in 2018,” he said.

The company launched 2,934 stores in 2017, and operated 12,121 stores as of the end of the year, including 11,255 Pyaterochka stores, 638 Perekrestok stores, and 93 Karusel hypermarkets.
